The course is point to point, beginning at the Frederick YMCA, 1000 N. Market St., heading south on Market Street through the heart of historic downtown Frederick to Carroll Creek Linear Park. The Frederick Market Street Mile course is measured according to USATF standards and is certified by USATF (#MD15002LMJ).
Strollers are welcome in the Family/Fun Mile, however please note that the city does not allow dogs during Celebrate Frederick's In The Street event.
Market Street will be closed between 12th street and All Saints street before 8:30am the morning of the race. There should be ample parking on North Market Street above 12th street, on 12th street, 13th street, Frederick avenue, 14th street, as well as Motter avenue and 10th street. NO PARKING is allowed along the course, again, between 12th street and All Saints street

The overall winner of each heat is based on gun time. All other awards are based on net time.
Plus Finisher Medal to all children age 13 and under in Youth, Fun, and Family Mile.

Dogs, bicycles, and skates are not allowed, and runners in violation of this policy are subject to disqualification and removal from the course.
